1. I helped bathe someone, pretty normal. But she had a hip fracture, so I just washed her hands and feet. It was the normalest part of the day.
2. We admitted a new patient. Never done that before, but it wasn't so bad. She kept yelling for AGUA AGUA! So I gave her agua on a little spongey thing cause she can't drink.
3. We had an HIV positive patient that always wanted to get out of bed. Good thing I wasn't in charge of him. I was too busy with the agua lady.
4. Someone died that day. That's the first time I've ever experienced having a patient die on my shift. It was sad.
5. The weirdest thing that happened....some dying man hit on me. So, we were talking and the nurses told me that he was kinda depressed cause they kept telling him he was going to go home, but he hasn't yet. And he was pretty cool! He's from Quebec, Canada, he used to be a professor for like psychiatry or something and blahblahblah. Then he was like you should come by my room and check out my paintings..apparently he had a gallery. And I did, and it was pretty cool, we talked about them and made jokes blahlblahblah. Then he said, I'm not trying to pick up on you or anything but maybe one day me and you and your sister can have dinner together. So before you leave just leave me your number, and I'll give you mine. And he said, You know, I don't have much time and all, and I want to live my life...blahblah. and i was like uhHh yeahh yeahh sure sure. But i was like Dude, I don't want this guy to call me. Then I told a nurse about it and she was like just tell him its against the policy and stuff. So I went back to his room before I left and I said hey, I'm about to leave now, it was really nice to meet you. And he said Why don't you write down your email, and number and address, and maybe we can all go get dinner together. and I told him NO you sicko! lol.. jk.
THe End.
