EXAM WEEK!!

This was exam week.

I had 5 tests this week.

but i'm almost done!! I can't wait till the weekendddd!!!!!!!!

I have no life..so that's it!

this is my first time!

yeah i havent been checking up on these blogs lately. for some odd reason i decided to get on and remembered that i was in this haha. i guess i can share about how i have been.

my classes are going great. pretty easy because i got ochem out of the way over summer. went to the beach last saturday. that was spectacular. the weather was just perfect. at first i was really foggy and misty but then suddenly the sun came out and pushed all of that away. it was amazing to see. the water was nice and cold. got some major waves coming up but not big enough to surf [sorry jonny :p] hurt myself a few times cuz i got caught under the crash of the waves.. not a good idea. came out with a few bruises and cuts but it was such a fun beach trip. also played some beach volleyball haha. went with the christian fellowship so that was fun to hang out with everyone. that was basically the highlight of my first month in college. other than that been studying a lot for school and for the DATs. surpisingly ive been getting a lot more sleep an average of maybe 6 hours a day. no need for energy drinks! yay hehe :]

Michael Choe was one of my best friends...

I have so much to say about him, about what a great person he was, what a great friend, but no words can really describe who he was to me. I remember every moment we spent hanging out, talking. He never judged anyone. He lived his life to the fullest for sure. I wish we kept in touch more, but even though we didn't, we knew we were always there for each other. I miss him so much, and i want him to come back. But I know he's in a better place now.

So today was a really awesome day! Classes went well, coach wants to put me in during the scrimmage to get some reps, and i was playing well during video game sessions with my floormates. All of the sudden I get a text that says. Hey pray for michael choe and his family... michael passed away today after going into a coma from od. i didn't know how to respond. was he someone i knew? sure he might even been considered as a friend. did he make an impact on my life? not really, but he was one of my first korean friends that i made at tkpc. so what was so special about him? he was my brother, your brother, OUR brother in Christ. iunno if he od'd on something illegal or if it was prescription but i know he had his struggles with his faith, just as we did. but one thing that i always think of when i see him or hear his name is just how friendly he was. how open he was to make friends with newcomers just like me when i walked in the doors. he was upbeat and a really fun guy. forget his vices. he was our dear brother and now hes gone to walk with the Lord. please pray for his family.

JONNY - 02 SEPT 09

volunteered for the first time today from 12pm - 4pm. when i first signed up for this ridiculous servitude, i totally thought that the total 20 hours i had to complete would be a piece of cake. how wrong could i be! i mean, i had a bunch of fun meeting new friends to volunteer with, and feeling all cool seeing freshmen and their parents move in, but 4 hours was sO long! much longer than previously thought.

does anyone want to visit and volunteer for me? wooo!!

what up with you all??

God is so random

So i think we all agree that God is quite humorous. Gods been making it all the more apparent during this years football. so as most of you know... ive had a pretty crappy august. shortly after getting back from Taiwan I had the flu for about 9 days. On the day before I was completely better i got stung by a scorpion, which happened to be 2 days before i had to reprot to school for football. i was then forced to sit out 3 days of football. on the first practice i sprained my ankle and was unable to walk and was promptly crutchified for 2 days and had to sit out for the entire week. experiencing this was extremely irritating and made me quite mad as i couldnt understand why i had to suffer like this but recently God made it clear why i was meant to be out. I had yet to fully recover from my flu and needed to rest and recover physically. if i had gone out and practiced it woulod have turned into epic FAIL.

yesterday was my first day back after spraining my ankle boy was i stoked. however my ankle was really sore and after the entire day of practice i found out that i had the next day off from practice. haha boy was i upset that i wasted a rest day and practiced. however it wasnt until this morning when i woke up that i understood why God did that. its because now my neck hurts like hell. x_X he let me have an extra day to rest it up and get used to my helmet.

funny how God works huh? heh heh

on another note. i got to talk with a friend that i havent talked to in a long time over aim. what started out as just a seemingly small talk convo turned into a 2 hour convo online. she told me about her worries going into college and spiritually and God really just worked through that and God was able to use me to comfort her and help her to settle down and have peace. it was really awesome having a really deep convo about our spiritual struggles as well as relationships with other people. Thank God for that haha it was something we both needed.

hope you guys are having an awesome time at college! we need to OOVOO sometime!

hhhmmm this year: i wanna be more sensitive to how and where God's moving here on campus! and be willing to join Him wherever and whenever!

and i'm all moved in! and waiting for school to start...
